This listing is for one Limited Edition original Lino Print and watercolour.
This is one of an Edition of 5 prints. This print was made by marking the image of the village onto a block of Lino and then carving away everything I wanted to leave white and where I wanted to add the watercolour paint. I then inked the block and printed the image. To complete it I watercoloured some parts and completed some of the finer detail in pen.
The actual print size is 20 x 25 cm on a slightly larger piece of 250 GSM Bristol Board using Schmincke water based ink, Schmincke watercolour paint and archival ink. It is sold mounted and the print will be securely packaged and dispatched through Royal Mail.
Castle Combe is an unspoilt village near Corsham in Wiltshire. There are a lot of restrictions on street furniture and overhead cables so it is often used for filming. There is a famous picture of a row of cottages, a stream and a small bridge, I have a card for sale of this image, but this is towards the centre of the village and is not so well known.
Please be aware that the colours may vary slightly as the monitor may not portray it accurately.
